Tell Your Story

What it was like/What happened/What it's like now

The story that comes out of us, once we open our mouth isn't always the story that we even expected.  Sharing can be a scary, risky process.  That is why it's so important to find a safe listener, a Good Listener.  Not everyone is worthy of our story.  Don't cast your pearls before swine as scripture teaches us.

But the risk is worth it once you have found some listening ears.  This is a safe place for you to tell your story.

A good place to start is describing what it was like.  Then, tell what happened, which would be a monumental point or a turning point in your life or the experience. Finish up with describing what it's like now in your current situation.

You have permission to have a tragic ending. Not all stories have happy endings. When you finally find a Good Listener, don't waste your time telling a fairy tale, it's your life story that is the most beneficial to everyone.

Experienced sharers will find that they can capsulize their story into a 20 minute pocket of time. Others take longer and take a few trips on rabbit trails.  A safe listener will give you grace and also help you stay focused.  It's OK.

Just start! Tell your story.  Ya can't go wrong... it's YOUR story.

Is it a big story?

Is it an angry story?

Is it a miraculous story?
